Anjar ruins. Again my directions fail me. I believe it was on my way to Baalbek, but I've been so many times up and down thoses roads and not many times paid attention to directions. But they are very well known and not far from Zahlé.
If you're into outdoor sports and activities, ask around. Rafting, Kayak, Bunji, Paraplane, ScubaDiving,... all are found in Lebanon but not well advertised. And for Snow enthusiasts, we have the best ski slopes in the Middle East.

The great courtyard is the heart of the Jupiter Temple. Underneath lies the ancient settlement and most probably an older sanctuary during the Roman period.
The whole Temple stood on a usually high Podium 6,5 m. High.Underground galleries (Crypto-Porticoes) Lying underneath served as cool restrooms in summer.
