Definitely Halabi! If you find yourself in Lebanon, ask for directions (you may have to do this multiple times, as there aren't many street names) The food is unbelievable!!! If you have the cash, dine upstairs in style (and you need ALOT of cash) but if you're content with just a really friggin good kabob sandwich, hit the to-go grill downstairs. You can get a decent sandwich here for 7000 Lebanese pounds, more adventurous=more expensive The chicken liver sandwich.. also the 'fruit of the lamb' sandwich, their version of Rocky Mountain Oysters I guess... for the less adventurous eater, the chicken kabob is very tasty.
ABDEL WAHAB, local cuisine with a lot of mezza plates...ARAK is the national drink, the national dish KEBBE consists of mutton mixed with crushed wheat, TABBOULE, a delicious salad containing parsley, tomatoes, and crushed wheat. HOMMOS: a mixture of chick peas and sesame sauce (Tahineh).Lebanese cuisine, with special ambience, very nice decoration, acceptable prices, possibility of having Arguileh... Fatteh: chick peas, yogurt, garlic, chicken. Yummy!!

Beautiful restaurant with a panoramic view of Beirut and the coast from the mountains Mezza- an assortment of Lebanese appetizers (Hommus, Grape Leaves, Baba Ghanouj) and grilled foods...they just keep bringing them out!
Many good restaurants -- in BeirutI have forgotten the name of a wonderful Italianrestaurant along the east side of the old Green-line (now highway) in a redone yellowish villa with a wonderful bathroom.in Kisraoune, the Armenian restaurant right on the hill-edgein Ba'lbak - lunch at the Palmyra hotel too many good items - the vegetables are allhigh quality & fresh - labnah (salted yoghurt cheese) is great, meats are tasty
Everywhere - including the street Felafel/Sharwama stands. I had a paticularly good meal in the renovated part of town near the parliament buildings on the circular plaza with the clock tower in the middle. Also dont miss the juice bars.Very cosmopolitan as is most of Lebanon. Red Wine from the Bekaa valley. All the nuts, crudities that fill you up before the meal arrives itself...beware.
Mount Alberto in Zahlé. It has a rotative room, with views of the city down below. At the opposite hill there is another good restaurant, I can't remember the name, which has a very big terrace, and the waiters just run from the kitchen down to your table in seconds with trays as big as 1m x 1,5m, unbelievable! The atmosphere, the arabic music, the friendliness of everyone. Everything on the menu is delicious in Lebanon. Where to start, Fatoush, Tabouleh, Homous, grilled lahme (meat), stuffed courgettes, even the raw meat prepared in a special unknown way is good. Not to mention cupbeh, kebabs, oh! my I'm hungry already...

Yet again, you have to look for this restaurant to find it: It's door is amazingly discreet. On most nights, a singer shows up with a simple instrument, the lebanese oûd, and interprets lebanese and arabic songs from the 'golden age': Oum Koulsoum, Abdel El Halim Hafez, Fairouz, Wadî El Safi... It is a very simple but delightful restaurant, serving some of the most exquisite lebanese dishes.
i like this restaurant very much ( massyna ) lebanese tapas restaurant in beirut city . and the Atmosphere in this restaurant very nice and cozy hommus yammy
