Ô CAP Beach Resort

by sarrahh

Caribbean sea wooers have met their match minus the ticket fares and the hassles because an exclusive plus spot awaits them right here in Rmeileh, a 25-km drive south of Beirut. At Ô Cap, you’re literally caped in among a monumental edgeless pool and scores of palm trees as three islands stamp your open invite to swim or sunbathe.Piers will direct you to the rocky shores of the Mediterranean for an easy breezy dip in the sea, while your ears take a dip in relaxation as lounge music takes turns with jazzy pop. With your full-access sea view permit in one hand and your sparkling cocktail from the wet bar in the other, the Jacuzzi is your best bet if you want to quench your appetite for a change. The children are not left out either; a pool and a play zone are especially designated to meet their every whim and need. As are yours: if you’re not feeling like a fish out of the water,...

Why not go scubadiving in Beirut?

by MalenaN

Scubadiving in Beirut? I know it's not like the Red sea but for me (who have done most of my dives in the Red Sea) this was a new experiense.I dived with the NISD (National Institute for ScubaDiving) lokated in the Rivera Hotel (where you can also spent a day by the pool). During the two dives I did we didn't see so many things, a moray and some fishes. But we made a nice driftdive. Sometimes you see sharkes. You can rent the equipment at the divingcenter. One dive with full equipment is 30 dollars.

Skiing or Snowboarding

by miso80

If you want a trip to where you can have a mix of culture, city life, a short trip to the mountains AND some skiing and sun-tanning..then Lebanon is definitely the place to visit :)There are plenty of ski resorts - Faraya, Faqra, Zaarour, Laqlouq, the Cedars(aarz)..you are sure to have a splendid time. For more details on the Faraya Mzaar Ski Resort, checkout the following tip:http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/9f6bd/ba7/4/ If you dont have your own equipment..there are stores on the road that will allow you to rent out ANY item or piece of equipment for the day. So no need to worry if you've forgotten your stuff at home.

Beirut's Race Track

by miso80

Every Sunday, Beirut's very finest Arabian bred horses can be seen at the Beirut Race Track near Tayyouneh. Everything from Lebanese Pounds to Dollars to GBP can be used to place bets on the best horse. Also, for those little kids who'd like to get on a horse with an instructor and go around in circles, and be nice to a lil horsie..you can go to downtown to the area next to Monroe Hotel and the known Starco Bldg., and enjoy a ride on a pony or horse.

Ski Faraya Mzaar, Lebanon

by allouc

The resort is my favorite visiting every year since 1995. It is run very efficiently and has slopes to suit beginers to intermidiate/advaced skiers. Accommodation varies from the 5* Intercontinental to very basic and can be found right on the slopes. Travel arrangements were very professionaly organized by Varianos Travel in Cyprus. Ski shops are plentiful and renting decent equipment ranges from 7 - 10 USD. Pic Blanc is a good shop.

Beach for Girls

by sarrahh

In Lebanon there are beaches which are esp for girls (no boys at all) and all the ppl who work there are girls. these kinds of beaches are made esp for the girls who wear hijab. So it was a gr8 solution in order to let these girls have fun and swim as if they are in any other beach.on the other hand a mother can take her children with her in case her son is less than 6 or 7 years. it doesnt cost that much prices starts from 5$ per person till 10 $ max .

Skiing in Lebanon

Lebanon is one of the few winter sports centers in the Middle East and certainly the most extensive. This land which enjoys 300 shining days every year, offers, at a short distance from coast, some of the best snow covered playgrounds for smooth or rough playing slopes. The season begins in late November and continues until late April and sometimes longer in Cedars area in a winter landscape unique in the world. There are six winter resorts in Lebanon. These ski resorts matches their European counterparts with modern comfort and well developed resorts infrastructure as most of it has beautiful hotels, chalets & all required facilities, including wonderful ski lifts.

AS i have mentioned in other places, skiing in LEbanon is a very nice and unique experience, with more than five ski resorts located on very wonderful sites around the country. You cann find all the facilities you need so dont worry about anything else. A hot mankousheh (lebanese sandwich) and a fresh orange juice from the area will serve you well before skiing.

snowboarding in faraya-mzaar

by hajar1979

snowboarding. supposedly the best resort in lebanon. most beirutis have a second house in faraya mzaar. saw really cute ski boots on some of the girls. friendly town where anyone who lives there knows everybody else. vibrant nightlife come ski season. beat places- igloo, l'interdit, STARS...impossibly beautiful girls out to strut their stuff everything provided but i'm a beginner and really am not fussy abt equipment0they gave me an ugly as hell yellow paratrooper's suit to snowboard. but i got something like a quarter of the rates for snowboarding instruction and am not complaining!

Car ralley

by sachara

Travelling from Bcharre to Beirut in the area 30 KM east of Batroun, the road to Aannaya was closed. The national car ralley should pass by and we had to wait near one of the sharp curves in the race circuit. It was unplanned, but it was a nice relaxed place to make a stop. And after we had unexpected breathtaking moments, standing on a slope in the front row, when the racing cars appeared, taking the sharp curve just in front of us.
