Al Bustan is a road to reach Bandar Jissah. If you have your own transport, just follow the sign from Ruwi. The road to Bandar Jissah is beautiful. There is stop point which give you a great scenery of surrounding of Muscat and Al Bustan.

Ruwi is also known as “Little India” in Muscat. The city is surrounded by rocky mountain and has a beautiful scenery. There are several hotels here. This is the last city before the visitor reach Bandar Jissah.

    Bandar Jissah
  • Tip Rating:
  • Bandar Jissah is a beautiful beach. From Ruwi, you need to take a direction to Al Bustan. The road to reach Jissah beach is beautiful and there is several places to stop to take a nice picture.

Jissah beach is quite crowd in Thursday and Friday (Weekend in Oman) The place is usually visited by people who want to swim or cruising with a boat. Some entrepreneur fishermen are renting their boat to take the visitor around the beautiful beach and small rocky island.

Oman Dive Center, Not Only for the Diver
  • Tip Rating:
  • It’s a beautiful place located in Bandar Jissah. The place is deserted, quite and beautiful. It has nice beach, barasti huts, restaurant and camping ground. The place now has been taken over by German management and they also organized half day and one day diving trip. The price starts from 6 OMR (Omani Rial) or 10 GBP (British Pound). They also organize special trips to Daymaniyats Islands and Ras Abu Daud wreck dive. They rent diving equipment (start from 3 OMR) and also conduct diving course for beginner. (Diving pool is also available for the course)

To entrance this place, a visitor will be charged for entrance fee, also for stay overnight in the camping ground. The place is nice, especially for diving lover, or people who love a quiet place.

Note : Price need to be always checked.

This is a full day excursion.
You will have to start in the morning for Jabel Shams (the Sun Mountain) situated on the Jabel Akhdar Green Mountain range. The journey to Jabel Shams goes through Wadi Ghul which is rich in greenery and vegetation. The Jabal Shams plateau which is at a height of around 3000 meters overlooks the Little Grand Canyon. Ask your driver to visit the village of Misfah. This is an incredible mountain village with ancient stone houses and narrow streets, lemon and lime trees and with an unique falaj water channeling system.
