Scuba Diving in Oman
The saline content of the water is relatively high, so the corals and fish life will not be comparable to the Red Sea or the Pacific for example.In all my research, the best places in Oman appear to be the coral reefs that have grown on the wrecks. But there is Lima Rock and Octopus rock.For good diving, many people go north to peninsula of Musandam.Otherwise, if you are willing to cross the boarder, there are many options on the same coastline but from Fujiarah/Dibba, UAE.I drove by Oman Dive Center but did not have time to stop. From what I know, they are among the most reputable in Oman. Bring what you have, but they dive shop will be able to provide everything you need.
