Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: In Israel, they are as liberal as the west what clothes are concerned. In the West Bank and (especially) Gaza, you shold be dressed more decent. Boys should wear trousers, and girls should have a long skirt, not show belly or any skin between the skirt and blouse, try to wear long sleeves and show no cleevage. In the refugee camps girls should also try to cover their hair with a scarf. It is not required but sometimes it is better for yourself as you'll be stared at and get lots of sexual attention if you don't. People will recognize that you try to respect their values and they will be very grateful for that. It will be easier for you to get in contact. In some areas, like Betlehem, people are less conservative as they are mainly Christians. Remember that dressing decent in this area is NOT helping oppression of women or any western nonsense like that - it is about respect. People are embarrassed so see nearly naked people on the street and you are a visitor after all. Always remember that.
Miscellaneous: bring sunglasses and a practical bottle to always carry water with you

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I found the covering up issue in Palestine, more relaxed here than in other Muslim area I have been to. Its still respectful to cover arms & legs & may help you get less unwanted attention
Photo Equipment: Check the dates of films, I was sold a film with less than one month to go on it.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: For travelers in search of relaxation and therapy, here they offer healthful spas in spectacular settings. The waters of the dead sea are intensely saline and rich in minerals. At the lowest point on the surface of the earth, it is also a magically serene and quiet place. The lovely Hammamat Ma'in is another favored spot, with a hot waterfall, thermal springs and a full complement of resort facilities.
