In a really old stonewalls mansion, Ramallah's affluent meet: Palestinian bourgeoisie, business people, media persons & international organizations staff.
Favorite Dish: Mezzes are gorgeous. Palestinian wine is not yet a must-drink...

This tip is not for a specific restaurant, but more of a request that you try something different. Don't believe everything the hysterical doctors back home tell you about dangerous bacterias, if you haven't pealed it yourself you can't eat it etc.
Go wild and eat like the locals, I promise you that they know what food to eat and not to eat. Try something local in small places, stay away from the touristy restaurants - you won't regret it.
Favorite Dish: My favourite dish in this area must be bread and hummus, or mezza which is a dish to share. Lots of bread and lots of different stews, dips and small dishes to eat with the bread. You'll LOVE it!!
The falafel here is also very very good... And, if you avoid the touristy places to eat you'll not only get the more real deal, you'll also save a lot of money and get more food on your plate.

Six of us went to Bethlehem of Christmas day & had a lovely meal in a restaurant just off the main square. Sorry I cant remember the name of it but the service & food were great & we had a fun time there . It did have red table cloths if that helps you recognise it!!

Favorite Dish: Pizza!!

Well, this restaurant is now under curfew, which of course isn't so unique for Palestinian restaurants these days...I have many good memories of this restaurant as well as of the office above it where I worked for three years! I miss my friends and former colleagues! (one of whom is seen smoking a fag on the balcony above!) I'm glad some are able to survive the curfews, tanks, jeeps and guns, the violence and madness. Others of course, on either side, are not so lucky. The Nazareth Restaurant makes great falafels - they're so green you can practically see the parsley oozing out of them. Not to mention the yummy hummus, freshly made wtih just the right mix of lemon, garlic and parsley :o)
Favorite Dish: Falafel Sandwich
