Kalia Public Beach
Favorite thing: Kalia Town and Kibbutz just has a population of 300 plus souls and the town is small but it punches way higher than it's class as the Kibbutz has the Kalia Public Beach and also manages the nearby Qumran Dead Sea Scroll Monument. The Kalia Public beach is popular not only for local Israelis but also to Christian Pilgrims on a holyland tour as it is the nearest Dead Sea Resort Coming from Jerusalem and is the most budget friendly too as the facilities are just basic. The Kalia Public Beach is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm everyday and entrance fee is 10 NIS per person.
Inside the Public Beach are shops, restaurants, changing rooms, rest rooms, picnic sheds, life guard station, the lowest bar in the world and beach beds and chairs.
