"Orev Lookout" (Mitzpe Orev)

by iblatt

Along Route 505 East, the road from Maaleh-Ephrayim (which is located in the Samaria hills, 200m above sea level) winds down towards the Jordan Valley, a 490 meter descent. On the way there is a great lookout point called "Mitzpeh Orev", which offers a magnificent view of the Jordan valley and the village of Fatzael below, the mounatins of Jordan across the Jordan valley on the Eastern side, and the mountains of Samaria (with Mt. Sartava the most striking) to the north.Stop your car, breathe the fresh air and admire the view!
