Jet skiing in the Doha Bay is an awesome way to spend some time. Many of the hotels like the Sheraton, Ritz Carlton, Marriott all have jet skiis to rent, even to non-residents. You just have to pay a small fee to use their equipment.

If you get a chance to get on ATV's during your stay in Qatar it is highly worth it! It was my first time ever doing this sort of sport but it was fantastic. The machines are great in the dunes and damp sand and can handle almost anything. It is quite a different way to travel on the dunes. You could always go in a 4x4 or something too if you woud like.
Equipment: We did this at the Sealine Beach Resort. They have quite a few bikes and were very helpful even when one of our companions got stuck. You must be 16 and a valid driver's license will be taken during your time for information sake. We paid 150QR each for 1 hour of riding time.

That's what happens in the main shopping mall in Doha. Hokey on ice... when outside the temperature reaches 35 degree Celsius!!! Nice to see while shopping!!

at the sealine beach resort, u can rent a 'quad' (4 wheel bikes) and drive through the desert dune...
very exciting activities once u know the technique...
