Here is a completely non-cultural activity that's certainly a fun diversion. It's simply a ice ramp, that you can pay to slide down. For only 15QR, you officially get two rides down. It wasn't busy when we were there, so as long as we brought our tubes back up, the guys let us continue.
He even slide down with us once and filmed a video clip of us all together.

The malls in Doha have a lot to offer. What I didn't realize is that there would be the opportunity to ICE SKATE!! I never would have thought I could do that in this country. It is a lot of fun and is roughly 30QR for an adult for 1 hour. But if you want to watch you can watch from one of the many floors that overlook the rink or pay a fee of 10QR just to sit on the bleachers. Well worth the time, and a lot of fun.
Ice skating & Ice Hockey are quite popular sports for the expats living here.
Very incredible is to see ice hockey in the middle of the dessert!!!
