Bus 109
On June 5, 2006 a bus route was begun that runs from Doha to Al Wakrah and Messaieed. It is bus number 109, which starts at the main bus station on Grand Hamad Street, next to the Alfardan Centre. This route, along with two other routes which began the same week, marks the completion of the proposed public transportation system which began with just two routes in October 2005.
