This restaurant is said to be pioneer of mughal style cuisine in Dhahran. Menu has Pakistani, Indian and Chinese dishes. Weekends are quite busy and had to wait nearly 15 minutes before getting a place. The Family area has cabin seating as well for privacy. The staff was very friendly and overall I enjoyed my evening with friends. I have since my first visit ordered home delivery a couple of times and quite happy with the food.
Favorite Dish: I ordered Biryani Rice with Chicken 65 and both dishes were delicious all the flavors were in just the right amount . The food is spicy and you can request to keep it mild or hot. Also tried the Shrimp Tikka and I must say it was the best by far I have eaten at other places. Anyone who goes must try the speciality Bikki Qulfi as dessert made with original recipe nearly 3 decades old.

This is the other place in Khobar (other than Copper Chandani) where we go if we are craving Indian food. The decor inside is very nice and relaxing. The food is excellent too. You can get Indian, Chinese, or Persian food here. I have tried all three of them and they are all good. Try to go there before 12PM for lunch and before 9PM for dinner since it can get busy after those times.
Favorite Dish: Chicken and Lamb Biryani, Chinese Noodles, Chelo Kabab Kobeideh.

This restaurant serves the regular indian cuisine, from Biryani to Tikka Masala and everything in between. Its cheap and has a nice dining atmosphere. The only bad thing about this restaurant is the wierd opening hours. Its closed from 3PM to 8PM which is unheard of in Saudi Arabia for a restaurant. Anyways, all in all this restaurant is a very good choice for the buck.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masalla.

This place serves three things only, rotisserie chicken, white rice, and red (bukhari) rice and it can hardly keep up with serving those three things to the hundreds of people they get everyday. This place is arguably the most famous restaurant in the eastern province and it certainly deserves all the buzz. Their chicken is the most delicious rotisserie chicken you will find in the east, and in my opinion the whole kingdom. Everything about this place is normal except their food. You can walk in and order rice and chicken to go and leave within 5 five minutes or you can eat inside on tables or do it the good ol' Saudi way, on a big round plate on the ground. They cook the chicken to your order, from juicy all the way to crispy. Make sure you order a side of hot sauce and a green salad and I guarantee you will be visiting this restaurant again.
One chicken and rice costs 19 riyals and can feed up to 4 people.
The staff is extremely friendly too!!
Favorite Dish: Half a chicken with Bukhari (red) rice and a side of hot sauce and a green salad. :)

Fortress-like building housing a restaurant and a museum. When you walk in there is an open area surrounded by water and tables. You look like you have stepped back in time and expect Alladin to walk around the corner. You are ushered into the waiting room for some coffee or tea. You can dine in the main room or in small group rooms. These rooms are decorated in different styles and you sit on the ground around a low table.
After dinner go upstairs and visit the museum and gift shop. The museum is jammed packed with ancient artifacts, weapons, antiques, old photographs, etc. The gift shop has regional crafts for sale.
Favorite Dish: I like middle eastern food so just about everything was good. I like samosas especially.

Kan Restaurant is the place to go if you want to pick something up or have it delivered. They offer large portions and their food is really tasty. Sometimes a little on the greasy side, as it is grilled and deep fried foods. But good never the less. Sometimes you are just in the mood for something like this!
Favorite Dish: Favorite? Wow? We buy some of this and some of that and have a bit of a buffet! So I will go with what we get, because I love all of it! They have wonderful cheese labana bread! I love it and can not stop at one piece! Their shish kabab (lamb) is seasoned well and really hits the spot! Bhe Bar-B Q Chicken is wonderful also, it has a wonderful wood smoked taste to it that we love. We ordered once and ended up with some fried shrimp somehow and ever since then, that has been added to our order! It is batter dipped and nice and crisp on the outside!

The Hobby Farm seems to be an expat favorite here in Dhahran. Every time we go there we see several people that we know. I know it is one of my kids favorite places to go! It is located at the Hobby Farm and you can watch fellow expats riding their horses while you eat your meal with family and friends.
Favorite Dish: My favorite is the Bacon (Beef ofcourse, we are in Saudi Arabia) Cheeseburger and onion rings. Although they have shrimp nights that my sons and husband love to enjoy!

The Dhahran Golf Club has a restaurant where you can go for a lunch or dinner. They sometimes offer a theme night such as Seafood. It overlooks the Dhahran Golf Course, and if you are lucky enough you can get a table near a window and enjoy the view.

At the dining hall you can find variety of different meals. They also have some theme nights where you can get Jordanian, Italian, Lebanese, Mexican, Seafood, Stir Fry, or Sandwiches. Our family loves to go there so they can all get their favorites. Our twins are addicted to their fried shrimp! They have a salad bar as well as some prepared salads too. They usually have a nice variety of desserts to top off your meal!
Favorite Dish: My favorite is stir fry , you can pick everything you want and they fix it for you while you wait. As for desert, their chocolate mousse cake is really good and so is their carrot cake.

Specialty coffee's, hot and cold. Nice to stop by with a friend and talk over a cup of hot coffee or a frozen one if you'd rather! They also sell deserts, salads and sandwiches, which makes it a nice place to grab some lunch.
Favorite Dish: Honey Vanilla Latté is my favorite hot specialty coffee. It is made with espresso, milk, honey, vanilla essence.
Chocolat café Glacé is my favorite cold specialty coffee. It is made with espresso, cacao, chocolate syrup, fresh cream.
