Instead of statues, Dhahran has planes on concrete plinths. There is a row of three of them at the old airport, which is now the Air Base, and two more at KFUPM. The planes are old Saudi Air force jets, including a Hunter and a Lightning.
Al-Rashid Mall is one the most prominant shopping malls of eastern region of Saudi Arabia. Almost every thing is available but with prices on a higher side. Usually people enjoy eating at the top floor food area.
The Dhahran skyline is dominated by the Water Tower at King Fahd University of Petrolem and Minerals. Near the top there is a clock whose chimes replicate those of Big Ben.

Saudi Arabia is an awesome setting for a beautiful sunset as you will see in my pictures. We have enjoyed many right near our home, as well as around Dhahran. They really are an amazing site.
You can play golf on Dhahran's beautiful new grass golf course! Definately looks like an Oasis! Plenty of nice trees and welcoming green grass on this 18 hole golf course!
