Old palace consists of 4 floors, the 1st for guests, 2nd for living room, 3rd for bedrooms and 4th for kitchen which shares half roof.
Woman of Abha is who decorates her own house. Color made out of natural products. Yellow is out of a kind of spice, red is out of an Abha fruit, green is out Arar Abha tree, and blue i forgot,lol.
You can see colors here, they're very natural and till now, women are proud to do it.

Since Abha is a natural hilly region, people tend to be poets and artistic about everything even clothes.
Men costume usually consists of three parts;
the lower is like a short skirt called--al-Massnaf
the middle is a blouse.
the top is a big hat like mexican hats.

The black dress is called Abha thobe. Usually women wear very heavy jewelery; belts, forehead belt, big earings besides a hat too. The heavier jewlery, the richer the woman. That's why, a woman's dowry in Abha is really high and may range SR30000-SR150000.
Some women cover their faces with burkhu, usually old ladies. They represents female shyness.

This is the traditonal dress for women in Abha,they used to wear it without any Abaya(the black over dress for ladies in Saudi)and also worn with a very large hat to protect them from the sun while doing their garden work,some women still wear it,it is so beautiful and so colorful!
The richer ladies tend to wear the famous Abha silver belt,this costs a fortune,for some ladies it was offered for them from their husbands as a dowry to his bride to be.

This is the local`s dress code for men,now you dont`t see this everywhere but same as the ladies traditional wear,some older men still wear them.
