    Jeddah .. the Road of the Two Holy Mosques Jeddah has the great honor to be the cross road to the two Holy cities. It receives Pilgrims and Umrah performers through air land and sea. Jeddah is approximately 73 km away from Makkah and 420 km South of AL Madinah. The people of Makkah AL Mukarramah took Jeddah's port as a commercial port. Jeddah is one of Saudi Arabia's largest cities where exists King Abdul Aziz International Airport, and Jeddah Islamic Seaport that handles cargo and passenger vessels from all over the world. This large seaport is equipped with ultra modern equipments and receives thousands of pilgrims and Umrah performers every year.

    One of Jeddah`s largest and busiest squares.it`s so busy that required to have signal lights around it. I was lucky this night that the bicycle had it`s light on.

    Al Handasa Square I sone of the distinguished landmarks in Jeddah City and is one of the largest road junctions. In the middle of this square there are giant geometrical tools like a compass, a protractor, a triangle and a ruler. These are among the largest geometrical tools in the world. * AL Handasa Square was constructed in 1986 A.D. * Its total land area is about 4.000 square meters. * The height of the compass is 35 meters. * It was recorded in the Guinness record for 1989-1990. * The total weight of AL Handasa Square is 66 tons. * The total cost is 1.5 million S.R. * Written on it the Qur'anic verse "He has taught man that which he knew not" was chosen to be written on the model ruler.
