The Kaaba. The focus of the entire Muslim world and the most sacred building on earth. This photo shows how big the kaaba really is relative to the ppl constantly in motion around it. You can also see some of the beauty of the interior levels of the haram

If you thought that the Harem looked beautiful during the birght sunlight, then do go and check it out at night too!
During Sunrise and Sunset the scene is beautiful.
People are there 24/7, 7 days a week - every day of the year. There is never really a quiet period as such, but in contrast from my experience the best time to go is during 12 midnight to get the least rush.
At this time most people do tend to sleep, dont be mistaken by thinking coming around 3am there will be no one there! Its completely packed at this time.
As most people are reading extra, night prayers, or getting ready for morning prayers.
The scenary is totally spectacular as you can see from the pic.
Dress Code: Dress code: You must be fully clothed, man or woman.
The only exception for men is during Hajj or in Umrah. In these cases only two pieces of unsown cloths are required, one convering the lower body the other the top.
Women must cover their body through out, this includes everything from the ankles to the neck, and covering the hair. However it is not necessary to cover the face.

To make Tawaaf between Maghrib and Esha is the perfect time.
After Esha , it's wonderful to go browse shopping at the hilton , also the sheraton.
Small streets with shops near Sheraton offer some wonderful little gifts

This is one of the scenes near the centre, late night. As you can see its still chock a block packed.
The crowd can be quite over powering at times, so be careful.
