    Saudi bus transportation,f

Getting to Medina is really easy, either by plane, car, or buses; all are available.
The cheapest way to get there is by buses.
Getting from Medina to Jeddah (and vice versa) is a five-hour journey. Cost is SR45 per person. Getting from Mecca to Medina is about SR50 per person with six-hour journey.

Water bottles are served and sometimes snacks for free.

SAPTCO bus stations are directly next to the Holy Mosque (al Haram) in Medina.
In Jeddah, the bus station at the seaport.

Bear in mind, you should have your valid iqama (visa)with you. There are checkpoints at the entrance and exit of Medina.

There're are cheaper buses who operate privately where it cots SR35 per person to get from Jeddah to Medina. You'd need to wait for the guy calling loudly, 'Medina...Medina'...or 'Jeddah...Jeddah' or whever destination you intend to go to...and God speed:^)

Car or taxi is the main transportation to get around Medina. From the airport to al Haram (Prophet's Mosque), it's SR30-SR35.
You'd find many locals who offer you a pick up. Don't hesistate. It is safe and cheaper than taxis. It's normal to Medina's people to offer a ride for an amount of money since many pilgrims come to Medina.
Medina is a small city so prices many range from SR5 and above depending on the season, then how far you wanna go to.
You can rent a car, from SR37 and above per day.

Mid way stop between Madinah and Jeddah

The fare from Madinah to Jeddah was 45 SR one way including taxes. Remember: In order to buy a bus ticket you must have your passport with you. If you are a Saudi resident then you have to show your Resident Permit which is called - Iiqama in Arabia language. It is very important and the ticket officers wants to feed in the data such as your Visa or Iiqama number into their system before issueing you a ticket.

    Saudi Airbus 300

Most people take a bus from Makkah or Jiddah to Madinah, but I took a flight from Jiddah. The flight was rather short (40 minutes), but had a lot of turbulence, but at least it was quick. The views from the air of Madinah are beautiful, and the Masjid An Nabawi is easily seen before landing.

Numerous taxi's and buses from Mecca or Jeddah airport. Just be sure to get a kind and good-natured driver.. otherwise you might be stranded for an hour in the middle of a desert while he has a smoke and demands more pay.
By foot.. this is how everyone travels, unless you're a resident and live far out.
