The good thing about the winter sale is that, they dont go for 10-30% off from the regular price but moreso they reduced the price upto 70% off. Mind you, that those are not off season clothes but the latest designs.. Theme: Department Store

They have wide selction of vegetables, meat, and other grocery items. They sell several Asian items both for Filipinos and Indonesians.
This is where me and mu hubby usually go for grocery shopping :-) Theme: Food and Drink

It is one big shopping mall which has one floor exclusive for ladies :-)
Mostly designer and hig end shops like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Coach, Zara, Lacoste, Nine West, Ferregamo, Burberry etc..
They were on sale during the first time i was there..so most of the ladies went gahgah over the 50-70 percent sale.
The only drawback when shopping for clothes is that they dont have fitting rooms. So, you can only try on the clothes that you bought once you're home and if it doesnt fit or doesnt look good on you...you can bring it back to them within 3 days for the exchange of goods.
SHOPPING TIP:
Pls check the labels that says where their product was made. Some of the high end shops for wallets,bags, shoes etc are made in China. Unlike LV and Hugo Boss....you really get the worth of your money....Its made in Italy and Germany..

Just within the area of Masmak fort, you can find one of the famous gold souk in Riyadh. The Thumeiri Gold Souk.
They have white gold, yellow gold, silver etc. They do engraving & re-setting of jewelry.
White gold per gram is 85SR while the price of yellow gold is less.
Also, the place is famous for selling wholesale items like carpets, thobe, undergarments etc.
Along the small alleys, insense, oud & spices like cardammon, saffron, etc are being sold. Theme: Jewelry

I bought a laptop from them almost 2 years ago, and have had it serviced and de-virused for free on a couple of occasions, in both Jeddah and Riyadh.
Books are really cheap and they have a wide selection - light romance novels to autobiographical and biographical accounts of life in various Arab countries. All the latest topsellers also. Even Australian Women's Weekly cookbooks!!
There is also greeting cards, wrapping paper, school/writing stationery, diaries.
Foreign magazines (no FHM/Playboy/Sports Illustrated/Maxim though) are popular, but quite pricey (off the top of my head SR55/US15 for a Cosmopolitan).
From SR2 for an HB pencil, up to SR10,00 for the latest laptop.
