    Aleppo Citadel

Favorite thing: With it's superb located zone, the strength of Archers, warriors, knights and many tricky stuffs like the Aqueduct which was surrounding the entire Citadel, and the right placed Main door in a 90 degree corner to make a penetration very difficult, boiling oil, secret ways under ground.....

Fondest memory: Check out this picture, here you enter like me and you can not use the wood cylinder to attack a door in the right!
Beautiful minds and excellent defense idea!

The second part of that Gate

    Crying Lion

Favorite thing: The second one is crying, which symbolize the losing
If you want my advice how to know which one is laughing and which one is crying just look to their eyes and the difference between the grimaces of their 2 faces.
Such a thing will give any penetrate soldier a fear feeling before entering this door, as they could lose and cry like the other left Lion or they can win and smiles, but this dilemma will always leave a paradox mixed feelings of fear and doubt.

    Aleppo Citadel

Favorite thing: Entering the old market and trade centre:
Once you pass the Lions gate
You’ll find yourself in the road of the city which was once existing in the citadel, the road is leading you up to the rest sections, but if you look left the baths and public slaves and citizens houses are suppose to be, nowadays you’ll find only the ruins and clues of its existence one day.

    Aleppo Citadel

Favorite thing: From the top of the Citadel near the big Mosque you can watch the whole city of Aleppo changing your direction all around the citadel, but I advice you if it is possible to climb the tower of the Mosque, from there you will be happy watching the city like an Eagle :-)

    Laughing Lion

    Favorite thing: The Lions gate:
Once you get in the first second shield in the citadel is the Lions door, by looking superficial you’ll hardly make a difference between the 2 lions, but by looking more profoundly you will notice that one of the Lions in your right hand is Laughing, which symbolize the victory.

also till today the Archeologists are digging deeper to find treasures of 6000 years ago!

    Favorite thing: Mill
One of the crazy things in the citadel of Aleppo is the Unfinished Mill!
One of the crazy Sultans *ottomans*
Wished to build a mill in the citadel, why, and what for, no body knows, but seems the people dislike the idea and disturbed him to complete it LOL

    Aleppo Citadel

Favorite thing: The Ceiling of the Mosque:
Gorgeous as always in any Mosque,
the great thing in this Mosque is the experience when you stand in the right side and then try to whisper so low to the one who stands in the left side, and like magic you will hear each other despite the distance
