    In souqs or at other places you can find venders selling different kind of nuts.In Aleppo I bought 1/2 a kilo (or was it 1 kilo) peanuts for 50 SP. In the beginning they tasted very good but as the amont decresed I wish I had bought the more expensive cashew nuts instead. It was just too much peanuts and I like cashew nuts better.More is not always...

You'll find it by just snuffing around spices... all spices.. but especially those that in your country tend to be overpriced. In my case it was saffron and cloves about 100 syrian pounds (2 dollars) for a nice bag of my favourite spices

    Basically every souq, shop, and possibly hotel, sells these nice boxes. The most precious ones, with mother of pearl, are stunning - and prohibitively expensive boxes... but open and close them a few times to make sure they are made decently. Many won't close anymore after you open them - hence if you buy one you can be guaranteed of lousy...
