the traffic is not that terrific, but it may still be hard to drive -or even walk- in the city center since all the busses and minibusses track the same road.the minibusses are called "dolmush" in local language, and they (both dolmushes and busses) cost 1 TL for each person. they can take you anywhere in the city, but to communicate with the driver may be difficult :)
Beside airways and Coaches like Varan and Ulusoy you can have a joyfull railway trip to Adana from many destinations like Istanbul Ankara and Izmir. Ewery day theres trains between major towns to Adana.
Adana has an effective city bus system ABOI buses are all climatized and you can get ewerywhere.There is private OHO midibus service also.Belkart named multipass cards are very usefull.
