I won’t tell you about the children of Dogubayazit which don’t let you walk on your own. There is another story here:
On our way back to Van busses, we saw this beauty. It is a huge roll of fabric and it has Liverpool’s famous emblem and “You’ll never walk alone” phrase all over it. I passed examining it at least 3 times and I decided to take the photos. I was shy to do it because I wasn’t sure about the vendor’s reaction. I didn’t want to insult anyone. It was a really funny and exciting thing to see here. I still regret that I haven’t bought 2 meters.

This proofs that they are right while saying “You’ll never walk alone”

the inner hall is smaller but so beauty and all the corridors on that stage run there.. the typical arabic horseshoe arch is visible in the hall on every side, and mosaic tiles on each side give to this lounge more brightness...
the complex is not huge and 15-20 min is time enough to visit it.. but the effort to get there worth while the price and the moments there !! absolutelly

The first picture was taken from one of the huge rooms with an incredible seesight to the west... the valley where i came from (Dogubayazit)
The second one was a small hall with open ceiling with a basin of water in the middle together with the fourth picture
There's also a downstairs that runs to the dungeons.. where you can imagine the prison cells.. 4 or 5 i remember.. its quite scary and thrilling if you are alone ..no much light inside (use your flash camera or a flashlight !!)

All the palace just for me i thought once i paid the ticket, nobody more was there to disturb the silence. barely we hear nothing.. just the pigeons my footstep and the wind whistling outside and by the nooks and corners... amazing !!

when i was there just 2 men where there the guide and other younger doing nothing... as usual so kind asking about where i was from and a little bit of everything...
dont remind how was the fee for entrance but it want quite cheap for the season and for the hour ..around 5pm .. maybe 7 TL.

Such a pleasure mine to get there alone, almost nobody was there to disturb a perfect moment drinking a coke and eating some pistachios (national product) waiting for the sunset.. I was sitting on a bench just above the palace in front of a bar really usefull and not expensive in spite off the location..(afar from everywhere)..
worth while to stay some time there killing time and relaxing !!

You will need around one hour to get the distance...among 5-7km from the town.. quite steep in some sections.. you will pass by several military headquarters and some isolated houses with rocky fences not very safety for u.... i will explain what im talking about it ln other tips later !!

the route to ishak pasa sarayi (sarayi menas palace) is a discover for your senses.. the views the sounds, the landscape in front of u that open up a new nook different to the previous. Looking back you can behold all the flat valley where rest the town

If you take a private guide, get them to take you to a Kurdish village and meet some of the locals....

They are really warm and welcoming people even if they cannot speak any English

even better if you can speak some Turkish, they just love that, even though they really only speak Kurdish

Since we were driving, we got fogbound

impressive too and I was happy to be
inside the car rather than outside !
