    The Çengelhan Rahmi M. Koç Museum is an industrial museum opposite the entrance to the Citadel, close to Anatolian Civilization Museum. Located in the historic Çengelhan - a former Caravanserai, built in 1522 - the Museum displays huge variety of exhibits on such diverse themes as Engineering, Road Transport, Scientific Instruments, Maritime, Medicine, and many others. The beautiful and atmospheric courtyard now houses the newly restored shop where the founder of the Koç Group, Mr Vehbi Koç started his working life. And when you have finished your museum visit, you can relax in either the Divan Cafe or the Divan Brasserie in the courtyard.

  • This building was originally allocated to Ataturk upon his arrival in Ankara on December 27 Th, 1919 as a Supreme Military Command Headquarters. It was here that Ataturk made many important national and foreign decisions between 1920 and 1922 including the operational plans for the War of Independence , the treaty that was signed with France on October 21 st , 1921 and the decision for establishing the Turkish Parliament. If you are waiting for a train this is an ideal way to spend your time. The staff are very friendly and only too willing to show you the various rooms which contain various artefacts that Ataturk used when he used the building. Free

    This is a Turkish bath from 16.cc. Clean and interesting hamam. There are women and men parts. Some women can help for washing yourself and massage. I advice. It is cheap. I go there once a month.
    If you go a bit right before the hamam you may reach to old Jewish houses and sinagog.

    Travelling with tourist groups is almost compulsory to visit the memorial if they pass by Ankara.I was travelling with them from Istanbul to Cappadocia.
