Nedjima: Nightlife in Ankara

There's a nice place where I like to go out when in Ankara, called Nedjima. It's located near Kocatepe camii, 5 min walking from Karanfil sokak on Kýzýlay. Nothing special really. So why nice? If you're fed up of some crowded lounge bar full of stylish faces and want to have casual drink among friends you're on the right place. Warm atmosphere, good music and very cheap beer (70 dcl around 4 YTL) makes it definitlely worth of visiting although not mentioned in Lonely Planet. :) no dress code required

in some travelling guides (like lonely planet) some expensive places are recommended and travellers would dislike those places when you get to ankara go to sakarya caddesi(avenue) for the best and cheapest nightlife in ankara choose your best from more then 100 pubs most of them hold students as their regulars i would recommend nuans for the beginning in early evenings and then golge bar which is very closed after 10 11 o'clock for live music and more fun coat and tie not allowed (not a joke,true)

Mini Bar: An Ankara Special

It is actually not a bar but a street ( Bestekar Street ). Generally young people ( 18-25 ) hang out there but much younger and older ones can be seen too. Goups of people hand out in the street, get their beers from the markets and have fun on the street. As there are many bars around it is a nice atmosphere. Toilet problem is a major one as there are not any public ones around so you have to use the bars. However there is a dilemma as the bars do not like you for not buying the drinks from them. Also sometimes the bars call the police to irritate the people arund. When the police comes you get up and start to walk and after thet are gone' you may go back your place again. It may not sound like that but it is a very safe enviroment. No dress code on the streets definitely, but wear comfortable clothing.

Cafe Bien: The only quality mucis in town

There are many bars and nightclubs in Ankara however, this is the only bar playing good music. Has a small garden in front. Generally very crowded in winter ( when the garden is not open ) weekend days. You may be rejected from the door because of the crowd between 22:30 and 24:00 but other times it is generally a warm and friendly atmosphere. No dress code required
