There are two McDonalds in Alanya. This one is on the main street (Ataturk road)
See my other tip on McDonalds East side.
The prices are about the same as in any other big city

We had dinner three times at this restaurant. (Two adults, two teenagers and a 9-year-old).
The food is simply perfect.
The restaurant is - off course - specialized in kebab, but the quality is far beyond any off the touristy places in the surrounding area. This is probably the reason 90% of the guests are local turks.
The pricing of the restaurant is about 50% of normal levels for the area. (Dinner for 5 incl. starters and drinks is about 100 TL).
Favorite Dish: Osmannish Kebab is the best we tried in Alanya.
However, if you think that rice or french fries is part of this dish, you should order it on the side. Here it is served the right way.

Just below the DimĆay dam are several restaurants/aqua parks, all offering lunch on the river, on floating platforms. The one we chose was the Beyaz Saray Restaurant, which was amazing. They offer excellent food, Turkish style dining (sitting on the floor, on cushions – which makes sense when you realize your table is always moving :p), good service, and quite a unique ambience. On top of this is the Aqua park, which consists mostly of a slide, and bridges over the river. The water is very cold though!
Favorite Dish: I ate Sea Bass, which was one of the best fish I’ve ever had, Asia had Sea Bream, though she preferred mine, and our mates had Kebabs, which were also very good. Price in total was about 120 Lira, which is quite reasonable.

In the heart of Mahmutlar is Izzy’s, serving some of the best local & international food in the area. It had been recommended to me by an Englishman earlier in the day, and we decided to have dinner there. Maybe it’s because our hotel food was so rubbish too, but we loved the place! A nice atmosphere (even though the music was a bit too dancy), brilliant service, some nice surprises (like a local bread dish served as a starter, on the house), and amazing food resulted in a wonderful evening.
Favorite Dish: I ate a Fillet Steak, must’ve been about 300g, with Mushrooms & Onions, served with salad & veg. Asia had a Kebab with Aubergines, also a huge meal, with veg & salad, although she says the nest time we go there, she’s gonna have my steak :) All this, plus drinks, for 70 Lira (35 Euros), including the tip!

If you enjoy seafood you should try Restaurant Marina. The restaurant is placed at the beautifull habour and the atmosphere is just great. They make all kinds of fresh fish. I really enjoyed the calamari!

This restaurant is beautiful evening for a couple or with friends. In a relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful view over the harbor and the bay of Alanya is it a good go at the delicious selfmade beer (6.5 YTL) and great food. From 20.00 then there is usually live music ... and even more to enjoy ;-)
Favorite Dish: Unfortunately eat no fish, which also probably have been very tasty. But some great times I have eaten meat dishes and really enjoyed.

It’s located 800m far away the Citadel of Alara on the Alara Stream. Whole caravanserai has been built on a land of piece of 2000 square metres. The inn, built in 1231, was restored a few years ago and is to be used as restaurant and shop centre. The warders hut keeps its specialities today. The second door of the caravanserai opens out to the guest rooms. There are small rooms next two sides of the long hall. There is a fountain, a small mosque and a bathhouse in the caravanserai. The signatures of the stone craftsmen which searched out during the reparation are very conspicuous. Keykubat said in the epigraphs in Alanya he was,” the sultan of the land and the two seas, the owner of the Arabic and Persian countries” and in the epigraphs in Alara Inn he got the titles,”The conqueror of Greek, Damascus, Armenian and european countries.” Alara Inn must have been paid for visitting. You can have your meal in the restaurant in the Inn as well as the small eating houses on countryside and you can swim till mealtime

It was definitely the best place we visited. Below I describe how the waiters can make a show out of everything, sometimes throwing burning bottles and making food outside in front of people.
That time the waiters (all males) were dressed in similar clothes which was nice. Nice orange shirts towards a tanned brown skin and dark hair looked nice. They were amazing: they might run to welcome you, escort to a table. If you come another day, they may ask the time and reserve a table...you will be surprised! It's not just for that there might be too many people, but in our case they had created an enormously romantic table with roses, rose leaves put everywhere, napkin art, colours, candles - even if it was just another evening. No honeymoon, no wedding or other anniversaries.
I found it very funny, amusing and nice when the guys suddenly started some dance together, standing in a line, holding each other, and those on the ends had a scarf which they moved around. It was Turkish -but not traditional- music that took me immediately: it was Tarkan, one of Turkey's most popular and sold pop singer. I bought his CD afterwards.
Favorite Dish: We ate there so many times that I don't remember...perhaps the steak! They made it on open fire outside, so that everybody could see that. They didn't save ingredients and alcohol when making the portion tasty.
Irish Coffees where bigger than in my country; made from a good Whiskey (Jameson, the Irish one). We saw the bottle as they made also the Irish coffees outside, making a performance out of it pouring liquids from a glass to another or from a bottle to a glass.
If you still want to sit in this nice place after dinner, try their specialty dessert drink: a watermelon first made empty and now filled with a mixture of alcohol. It is drunk with a straw together with your partner or friend. Or why not alone, too.
