Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring a good pair of walking shoes. The tours are in ancient sites and one of the people on one tour was actually trying it in heels.

Miscellaneous: Bring some US dollars or Euros. They are accepted everywhere and if you want to buy something big (ie. rug, leather, etc.) you can bargain better with dollars. Inflation is very high in Turkey so foreign currency is very desirable.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: When I was in Antalya in August, it was three days about 46°C (115°F) !

So if you don't like heat you should visit Antalya in fall and spring only.

In the summer you don't need an umbrella or warm clothes. Just sunglasses and T-Shirts.

Be aware of the very high UV-radiation. Don't miss sunscreen and don't stay too long in the sunshine!

Miscellaneous: Rainy season: from October to April, dry in the summer

Avg. Temp. in Spring: max.: 17 – 25°C ( 63 - 77°F ); min: 7 - 14°C ( 45 - 57°F )
Avg. Temp. in Summer: max.: 30 – 33°C ( 86 - 92°F ); min: 19 - 22°C ( 66 - 72°F )
Avg. Temp. in Autumn: max.: 20 – 31°C ( 68 - 88°F); min: 10 - 18°C ( 50 – 64°F )
Avg. Temp. in Winter: max.: 14 – 15°C ( 57 - 59°F); min: 5 - 6°C ( 41 - 43°F )

Watertemperature: in summer around 29°C (85°F) in winter about 17°C (63°F).

Miscellaneous: Orange Juice! (Not as a packing list item, of course). They squeeze it on every corner from fresh oranges. A very good idea for a hot summer day. The juice is though as 'hot as the day', 'cause they serve it in the street straight from the squeezer, not from refregirator. The photo is taken in Antalya Old Town.

Luggage and bags: Bring an empty case with you for the many bargins to be found here - great fake designer watches, linens are especially good buys in this area and of course there's always a carpet or two...

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Don't worry if you lose your clothes at the airport, T-shirts, sportswear, are really cheap here.
