I lived more than 6-7 years in this beautiful city and therefore I may say I am an expert of Antalya:-)

On the way to Karaalioglu Park in Antalya we stumble to this nice restaurant. I am not sure the name of the restaurants but according to the front of the menu, it is call Bizim Sofra restaurant. It is located on the main road towards Antalya major park Karaalioglu. They serve Turkish food and it was delicious. The price is quite reasonable. In Antalya you can find many touristy Restaurants.. However I prefer the ones where locals choose.. Kismet Balikcisi is my favourite Fish restaurant in Antalya.. Everytime I visit Antalya, I wont pass without eating there..
The fishes are fresh and really delicious, The starters are very tasty... .. And most important, you are having one of your tastiest fishess for a funny price.. (Half price compared with Fish restaurants in Istanbul)
The restaurant is located at the old "east bus Station" ( Eski Dogu Garaji)... You can reach there by 10 min. walking from the city center.. A place where local buses were leaving, now turned out to be a local market.. Inside the market there are also fish sellers and down the road, you will find the Fish restaurants.. There are around 6-7 Fish restaurants.. All are crowded at nights, and you can all see locals eating there.. So no hussle for tourists.. Instead of being ripped off in a touristy Fish restaurant inside the Kaleici, I suggest you to choose the ones outside Kaleici (Inside the castle)
Seasonal fishes will be your favourite.. You choose what you want from a variety of fishes and they weight it first and cook afterwards.. And you pay according to the weight of your choosen fish..
Calamary, cooked shrimps are also a favourite..

Not too many tourist go to this place, even though it's located in the old town. It's a small bar on the second floor, which offers great life performances. You can listen to the traditional Turkish music. And you might also want to learn how to dance, as from time to time the bartender hits the dance floor. It's an amazing experience. If you go to Antalya you MUST make a visit to Coco (pronounced jojo, mening “friend”) Bar at Lara Brach!! We have never tasted as good Lamb shish kebabs anywhere else in Turkey! For 4 Euro you will get a big portion with rice, chips and vegetables and several big bits of superbly marinated fresh lamb...yummi!! Among the small dishes we can mention a real tasty aubergine sallad with lots of garlic for 1 Euro, and a wonderful cheese-mushrom omelett for 2 Euro.
If you just want to have an Efes (1 Euro) or some other drink (Raki 2 Euro) that´ll also be fine, and you will get a big bowl of splendid roasted peanuts for free to go with the drink.
The owner is extremely friendly, and you will feel really wellcome and taken care of, and from the cosy terrace you can watch the Turkish every day life passing by down on the street, or even see the local football team play a game late at night!

Turkish Kebap is famous all around the world.. and when you are in Antalya, besides all those touristic restaurants, I can advice one real good restaurant, where you can have delicious Turkish food and nice kebaps.
When you are in the restaurant, just care attention that you should be really hungry.. cause all those delicious starters will make you think that, thats all you can eat, however you should spare some space for the main course Kebaps..

According to moslem belief,it is a big sin!!!

We always use sunflower,olive,corn,nut,real butter,sesame oils or margarins(made by vegetable products),etc.
YES..we..TURKS!! are also great vegetarians:)and we have great legacy of Ottaman cuise..(one of the 3.biggest..Chinese-French&Ottoman or Turkish) Our cuisine has more than 1001 different kinda vegetable dishes,most probably more than 40 aubergine dishes,hundreds&hundreds variaties of salads,real tomato(Antalya is the center of its)fresh or dried beans,carrot,okra,green or red peppers,peas,celery,spinach,purslane,zucchini,fresh pinto,jerusalem artichokes,leeks,etc..delicious pilavs(rice)plain or with vegetable,I don't know how many soups,pastries..cheese(white or yellow)
Please be sure,our country is a heaven for vegetarians,and every kind of restaurant has of their own vegetarian menu.

At the bus stop, was a cafe where we had thin cheese filled pancakes, freshlymade, and a plate of grapes. It was one of the nicest snacks I've ever tasted, We re-ordered several times while waiting for the mini bus to take us down to Olimpus.

This restaurant has very good seafood : fish, octopus, calamari... They grill it with a touch of olive oil and lemon. There were two Balik Evi restaurants back in 2000 when I ate there - this one is near the center, just by the market.
