We have planned to see that waterfall just before the "normal" shopping in Antalya. Every year we "waste" few hrs for shopping in the big modern Shopping Centers around Antalya.
We haven't expected too much from that waterfall, especially after we have been few times lost in "nowhere" following the road signs.
In that dry environment, with its "exotic" city landscape, the waterfall itself was a nice surprise.
Including the small "souk" built around the entrance, all the surroundings are so specific Turkish, with the noisy kids trying to sell you different things with prices ten times bigger than the normal ones, with the mixture of local crafted products and Chinese plastic copies... amazing anyway.
One of nicest waterfalls in Antalya region for sure. It is situated in DSI state park. And it has been used as a settlement area dating back to 5 B.C. There ancient graves built near the waterfall, dating to 3 B.C.It is 25 meters high.
It’s like a park, local people go there a lot to have a nice afternoon, do a picnic or whatever you want.
There’s two small waterfalls there, if you are lucky you’ll find the kids jumping from a bridge to the water.
On my way into Antalya we stopped just outside of the city. I didn't know why we had stopped but then we all walked towards the cliff and there was this really nice waterfall cascading over the cliffs into the ocean below.
Located at 15 km. northeast of Antalya. The place is a large reservation, full of copses, and rest areas, where family can enjoy picnics. The way up to the water is marked and in some spotes You can walk behind the cascade, which is a thrilling experience.
Antalya area is blessed with waterfalls. 12 to be exact. The closer one to the city is the lower Dudan. "Lower" because in is the lower spote of the stream which runs from the mountains. They are located 12 km from the city,on the way to Lara Beach . The water falls straight into the sea. The nearby area offers an excellent view of the falls, and the cliffs.
These falls are not as good indicated as the Kursunlu Falls, but once we found them, it was great. You can walk around there and go just behind the waterfall, which was a unique and loud experience.
The Duden Waterfalls are fairly near to Antalya and even though I didn't manage to get there I heard they were well worth the trip by my friends who went.
Fab place to get away from the city and a beautiful place to relax, walk and take photos.
Duden waterfall is near the old city with clean water (with passing the city, how clean is this!) I hear about waterfalls out of city that we can walk behind them and for rafting.
These waterfalls are set in a wonderful natural park setting on the outskirts of Antalya.
