If you're in the old town and want to rent a car to explore Antalya's surroundings, you can try this agency.
We got a pretty new car, and the usual empty fuel tank. The price was about Euro 200 for one week, excluding fuel and we found the people there friendly and helpful.
The address is Barboros Mah Akar Cesme Sok., 3 - Kaleici / Antalya

Please be very careful if you book a car rental through RENT A CAR ANTALYA. I used this company and was required to leave a cash deposit of £200. When I returned the car the agent agreed that the car was in perfect condition but had 'forgotten' my deposit. What could I do when I had a plane to catch. He promised to send the money to me by Western Union.
1 month later I am still waiting for this money to be returned to me. I would advise you NEVER to use this company!

We took the tram from the Antalya Museum to the old city. The cost was 1.3 lire and it did not matter how far you went, the cost was the same. These old trams were donated by Germany when they stopped using trams in West Berlin.

--- Leave Kaliechi by the Clock Tower, following the tram line with the park on your left. When you're opposite the Selekler Center (grey, modern shopping center), there's a tram stop and kiosk. A little further on is a pull-over near a round fountain. the Havas bus leaves for the airport on the hour and for 10 TL.

Taxis:for longer rides, you should generally bargain over the fee but for rides within the limits of the city the taximeter is used.Between 12.00 p.m.-06.00 a.m there is a night rate of 50%.
Minibuses(minibus-dolmus):In Antalya generally one fare is about 1US$.Fares for rides between and surrounding areas vary.At the main bus station, you can take minibus to Kemer,Kas,Belek,Side,Fenike, etc
For ride to Kemer or Kas,you can also get on those minibuses at the bus stop on 100.YIL Bulvari(opposite to Falez Hotel).
Coaches:You can take new-brand coaches to big cities or some of the touristic places such as Istanbul,Ankara,Izmir,Konya,Pamukkale,Cappadocia,Adiyaman province(Nemrut mountain) or even to Trabzon for Sumela Monastery..

We were staying in the Barut Lara Resort outside the main city so one day we decided to get the bus into town, even though our hotel offered a shuttle service.
Good points:
* amazingly, the bus will stop anywhere and i mean anywhere on the route! people dont really even wait at bus-stops as the bus will stop if you look at it or stick your hand out, also the bus will stop for you when you press the button so we got dropped off right at the front door of our hotel.
* it is cheap, 2.25 lira each (in June 2009)
* the locals on the bus are very friendly and will offer their seats to you as well as pass you your change from the driver
Bad points:
* VERY HOT!!!!!!
* these tiny little mini buses cram in as many people as will fit in
make sure you know what number bus you need
i would recommend travelling by the buses as we had a good experience on them, if a little hot and sweaty and crowded.

Theres a 6 Km's long tram line with;single track and 10 stations . 3 articulated tram units with orange, red and blue top ;operating between Kara Ali park and Mezbaha district in East West directions. Its cheepest way to capture Antalya's city life to ride this older (ex Nurenberg) but very cute trams. less than 1$ you can get best pleasure.
Another double track new tram line named "Antray" is in service by February 2009 with 15 stations linking northern areas of the city to the south the coast. two lines are not connected but there is a very close tram stop at "ismetpasa" and with a short walk you can reach to the older tramway.
