In fact part of Troy Aqua Park, the Dolphinarium hosts 800 people twice a day. There are shows at 11a.m and 3 p.m., excepting Monday , when there is a single show at 3 p.m. We payed 25 euros/adult. The entrance is free for children under 3 y.o. The show lasts about one hour. After watching the wales, the dolphins and the walrus, you may swim with the dolphins , against an extra-fee, of course:) During the show, they also take a break ( a too long break in my opinion) for photos with the wales and the walrus (photos taken by their photographer against a fee)...

If you like the world of water slides, then you should go to "Troy Aqua"! It is a water park built on a 12.000 m2 area, with wave pool, 13 m high slides, kamikaze slide , an adventure river and....a restaurant:) For the guests of Rixos Premium hotel, the entrance is free.Otherwise, you have to pay a tax. Very important!! For the God sake... if you are going to try the kamikaze slide (about 15 m)...keep you legs tight.-very tight. Oterwise... you will need a loooong time for recovery. Especially if you are a man... ouch!

Aspendos amphitheatre by Dizee This is a short trip from Belek to this city containing a very well preserved Roman amphitheathre, viaduct and others. The amphitheatre seats 15,000 and is so well preserved that they still hold operas and concerts in it. My children enjoyed climbing up the tiers of seats and marvelling at the acoustics. You need to be quite mobile to scramble to the top and it soon has the less fit puffing a bit. The view down is worth it though and it makes a brilliant photo opportunity. The children were not much interested in the viaduct but were pacified by watching the terrapins in the river nearby. Leave a Comment

We went on a trip to Antalya. Antalya is the fourth largest city in Turkey. On the way we stoped for a visit to the Duden waterfalls were I took a few photos and you can walk under the falls some nice views of the falls. After this we drove the marina and main shoping area. the walk from the main road to the marina is through narrow streets were the are some shops selling sov ect. this is the old part of Antalia close to the castle and some of the buildings are very old. After lunch we were taken to a factory were they make gold jewlery . This is a large build with a lot of displays. It was a change and it broke our holiday up I would say worth a visit. Perge by Dizee Perge is the remains of Greek and Roman towns which were built on this spot. There is quite a lot of it still standing - although successive earthquakes over the years have knocked a lot down. The baths and stadium were quite well preserved and our guide was very knowledgeable about the ruins - but not just dry history, he made it interesting. Our children enjoyed scrambling over the ruins and the highlight for them was the multitude of lizards that they saw. They even got to hold a chameleon and watch it change colour. It was very hot and I would recommend taking sun cream, sun hat and lots of water as there is not a lot of shade. Leave a Comment

Manavgat Gulet Trip by Dizee We took an organised trip to Manavgat (near Side) where we boarded a gulet to sail down the river to where it meets the sea. We had most of the morning to explore the beach area and swim - water quite warm - or swim in the river - water quite cold! The Gulet crew then barbecued us a simple lunch of meat and salads on the beach which we ate on the boat in the shade. Washed down with cold beer and wine it tasted pretty good! In the afternoon a belly dancer turned up to do a show and we all joined in, which was hilarious. One of the best bits was sunbathing on the roof of the boat as it went back up the river as the breeze was very welcome. Leave a Comment

i am writing this to warn everyone about the troy aquapark we stayed in side but went out on a day trip to the troy aquapark in belek. It was horrible everything is very cramped and they let far too many people in there is not nearly enought rings too go around (and you have to have a ring to go on the rides) all the slides lead to one "lazy river" (in speech marks because there were far too many people and there was a huge pile up point) the whole place was a health and saftey risk. they rip you off compleatly by searching your bags for drinks and removing any drinks you have leaving you paying about 6 euros for a small plastic cup of coke! we also found many of the staff were agressive and one even started fighting with another man who was a paying customer if it was in the uk it would never have been able to stay open and most of the staff would be arrested because of the way they treat the cusomers. OVERALL a very disorganised place with rude staff and rubbish rides where you land on everyone at the bottom! Address: Troy aquapark, Belek, TurkeyDirections: Belek, Antalya, Turkey
