    Turkish Dancing

If you would like to see some traditional-style Turkish dancing (the kind you would see at a Turkish wedding) stop by Belgin's Kitchen Restaurant in the centre of the Old Town. There is a gypsy band playing lively music just about every night and Turkish families like to come and dance - the real dancing action seems to start around 11:00 or midnight. Little girls are prepared with their coin-covered hip scarves and you can see them itching to dance, but too shy until an adult gets on the floor, then they all rush out, inhibitions forgotten! Everybody loves it when the tourists join in too. Seating is very casual, on comfortable cushions around low tables (except for a few normal ones) and the atmosphere is happy and relaxed and a good place for families.

You must haggle (barter) with the prices - it's great fun - It's a laugh as well for both parties too!!!
    Give it a go!!!
Halve the price and go from there- oh and nag if you're buying more than one item....this goes for Pakistan too.
They know you're from the West and double the price!!!!

The road that takes you there is bordered with little houses and shops where you might want to stop and taste delicious Turkish pastries and have a cup of tea. If you get a chance to chat with the owners, ask them about the history of the island. That's the best way to learn....I saw that the boat's guide doesn't know too much about the history....but they can summarize them all during the trip...but details....as always with the local guys...
