You don't have many choices for food and drinks at the eastern part of The Patara Beach.

So if you don't want to pay for overpriced food and drinks, bring some along. I am writing this regarding the cafe&restaurant at the easthern end of the beach, closeby Kalkan. The one at the west end closeby Letoon and Ozlen Creek was OK.

The taxi drivers have this year formed a consortium and hiked up charges by at least double. What used to cost 4TRY, now cost 12-15TRY depending on the time of day. I would suggest you read the Kalkan forum on trip adviser for more info. This was my third and final visit to Kalkan, I don’t appreciate being told by a taxi driver to get off the hotel coach. Yes that is true, they are almost a mafia and think they are above the law but it’s Kalkan who will suffer in the longer term as Turkey is a great place to holiday with lots of choice.
