A great place to picnic but also to birdwatch.Around the lake you can again see Dalmatian pelicans but also Ruddy shelducks,Spoonbills and Glossy ibis.
Roller and Isabelline wheatears and if your lucky White tailed eagles.
National reserve and the Miletus marshes.If you like bird watching then this is great.Middle to late April. Dalmatian Pelicans are the rarest here but there's a lot more.Ruddy shelducks,Long legged buzzards,Barred ruppells,Great reed warblers,Rufous bush robins,Eastern Black-eared wheatears,and Buntings like Cretzschmars Black-headed and Rock.
Western Nuthatches,Blue rock thrushes,Jays,Spoonbills,Great white egrets,Caspian terns,Kentish plovers,Black tailed godwits,Little stints,Ruffs and other waders.
Garganeys,Marsh and wood sand pipers,Spur winged plovers,Collared pratincoles and Isabelline wheatears.
On the outskirts of town there is a lovely old church now delapidating but still some of the old splendor can be seen.The old bone chapel is something else.
Unfortunately i can't recall the name of this church.
