The Kalyon Restaurant, which is situated only a short distance back from the sea-front (see map on its website), is a very pleasant place to eat. The staff are very friendly, and we particularly enjoyed their Kalyon 'Special-For two Person' (Beef,Mushroom,Cheese,Vegetables).
I went there several times for a drink because I really enjoyed the ambient and the music.
Unlike many restaurants and cafes, in Captain's place they play nice, relaxing music, mostly turkish Anatolian songs or other romantic world wide popular music.
In this restaurant waiters don't dance, don't run around you, don't try to become your friends, don't touch you,...they act in a very polite manner.
I liked the music and they told me to bring data traveler, and I did, they transferred all the music (1GB) from their computer so now I am listening and remember the nice evenings in Kusadasi.
Guests in this restaurant are mostly turkish people and tourist which stay in nearby hotels. Ambient-nothing special, but the food is great if you like pizzas.
Pide is some kind of a turkish pizza, taste is the same as pizza, shape is different, not circle but a line shape. It is very clean, you can see people when they prepare food.
Favorite Dish: Vegetarian pizza/pide.
if you are traveling to Kusadasi you must give it a try and I am sure you will want to return again and again, like my family My daughter celebrated her 21st Birthday and her Wedding here I also had my 60th Birthday here and each night was very good Thank you all.
Favorite Dish: House Special Kebab
Turkish and international dishes are served at the open buffet restaurant. You can enjoy different delicacies at the restaurant available on-site and also have tasty refreshments and drinks at the snack bar.
Excellent service - speaks English - appears for first time in travel guides- amazing value
Even having a cold beer and watching the world pass by - is worth it
Favorite Dish: Hand made starters are stunning - just look in the kitchen and pick
Either Chicken kebab on a skewer or mixed kebab
The Ali baba also has a great selection of mez's and salads, meze is a long procession of starters which can include anything, here are just a few to lick your lips over.
Beyaz peynir---Sheeps cheese.
Botek---Pastry stuffed with cheese and pastry.
Cacik---Yogurt with cucumber and mint.
Domates salatik---Tomato and cucumber.
Fasulye---Beans in tomato sauce.
Kabak dolmasi---Stuffed marow.
Patlican salatasi---Aubergine salad.
Patlican tava---Fried Aubergine.
Yaprak dolmasi---stuffed vine leaves.
This is one of the refridgerated displays of fish on offer at the Ali baba restaurant, choose from Tiger prawns, sea bass, mullet, lobster, squid, and loads more, the worlds your oyster, they got those too hahahaha.
The Ali baba is one of the most long established fish restaurants in Kusadasi. All the fish in this restaurant is fresh and on display in one of there glass fridges so you can choose exactly what fish you fancy, although the fish is not overpriced it is still expensive, but the quality of the food on offer is unbeatable anywhere in Kusadasi. The look on my dads face is one of complete happiness, until he found out he was paying, that wiped the smile off his face.hahahaha
Favorite Dish: You just have to try the lobster and callamari at Ali babas,Oh and the views over Kusadasi harbour are fantastic. It may be expensive but sod it your on holiday
This is a traditional clay oven used at sherwoods and the food that comes out of it tastes fantastic.
Favorite Dish: The garlic bread is out of this world, as you will see in the next photo.
To go all the way to Turkey and see a restaurant with the same name as mine (Sherwood) is really spooky, so in we went and we just knew this resaurant would be as good as the name Ha Ha and we was'nt dissapointed. The service the food and the price was perfect from the moment we sat down. Before our first course they give every customer a special bread which is baked in a charcoal oven, this comes to your table looking rather like an inflated rugby ball and is served with garlic butter, this bread alone would have done me for the evening. Anyway we had calamari (fried squid) to start which was cooked beutifully and then it was turkish meat balls. Because our family name is sherwood we signed the restaurant bill and they pinned this up on the wall. So if you ever visit this fantastic restaurant please let me know if its still there.
Favorite Dish: It has to be the bread and garlic butter. Its got a nutty flavour that i have never tasted before.
The main thing the KIWI has going for it is the staff, i don't think i have ever come across a more helpfull and careing staff as the kiwi's. We must have gone there at least 5 times on our holidays and every time it got better and better. What good friends we made there.
Favorite Dish: The Kiwi's special steak really takes some beating and the kids milk shakes are great.
this restaurant is very nice, the food is gorgeous. also you can do the proper turkish tradition when you sit in a area on the floor but it has cusions and you have to take your shoes and socks off and ross your legs and have a proper turkish meal. you can have a turkish meal with out doing that but it is a great experience. it is just a fantastic restaurant.. and the staff are so lovely and lively.
Favorite Dish: i ahve not really got a favourite dish because i liked it all.
another turkish cafe, its really shockingly cheap and they serve filling food! Try the tomato soup, chicken shish kebabs, pizza, ummm....well most things lol
Really nice food
Favorite Dish: hmmmmm....chicken pizza?!
Moda serves really nice, really filling food! The menus pretty limited as its not a tourist restaurant but more of a turkish cafe but its really great if u dont have loads to spend and you want a quiet meal as its very turkish. This is not one which tourists really go to.
Favorite Dish: Chicken mash and rice because its simple, but really really really lush lol, and cheap and filling!
