  • The Countryside and Vineyards

    Bozcaada, despite the name meaning essentially "barren island," is not really all that barren. The prominent hill that dominates the island and rises over the town is quite barren, grassy and rocky and devoid of trees, but the rest of the island has many trees and lush vineyards. Altogether, it makes for interesting and attractive countryside.

  • Beaches

    The beaches are gorgeous and some have sand that is extremely soft and fine. In short, these are wonderful beaches, the water slightly cooler than to the south, but very pleasant, clean, and beautiful. Facilities are good, as well.

    This the most well-known beach of the island. yeah it means most crowded as well :( Beach is nice, sea is crystal clear. restaurants behind the beach serve good seafood. eating juicy watermelon after sunbathing is a typical Bora classic in Bozcaada :)

    there is "modern times tradition" at the lighthouse point :) Locals and tourists bring their local wine with them when they visit Polente Lighthouse. They sit on the rocks or beach and enjoy their wine and beautiful sunset view. Good experience :)

    Wine production is a traditional work in this island for centuries. There are 4 famous companies and they got nice and lovely shops for wine tasting. You can taste your wine before pay&buy. No limits and no hesitation :)
