We visited a wine shop which sells wines out of Pamukkale Winery which has been processing Anatolia's best grapes. We tasted fine local dry red wine from Pamukkale, made from Kalecik Karasi grapes grown in south Denizli region.

Turkish Delight, lokum, or loukoum is a confection made from starch and sugar. It is often flavored with rosewater and lemon, the former giving it a characteristic pale pink color.

Pamukkale is just the place to pick up typically Turkish delights as memories of your travel.
The shops are open for long hours daily and sell quality items at reasonable prices.

We have been taken to a textile shopping center for buying towel, bathrobe and other textile products.
The Pamukkale/Denizli area is famous for its cotton and the home wares. Many of the other souvenirs and traditional Turkish wares that you can find in other parts of Turkey are cheaper around Denizli/Pamukkale because they are produced there.

Many women out of our group bought something in Fabrica Satis Magazasi near Pamukkale (while I was watching a wonderful sunset, haha!)

What to buy: Many Turkish peddlers are selling books about Pamukkale all around the site. In case you are a good negotiator you can obtain a good price and you can choose from different languages.

In case you prefer to buy the books and the souvenirs from an authorized shop, there are some inside the thermal center, as well as a post office to send a nice card to your friends back home.

There are lots of small local stores selling food and drink in Pamukkale. No matter what you buy, remember to check if they are still fresh/edible. Sometimes, you can get food/drink covered with inches of dust! Be careful!!
