Every part got its own charm and character. It depends very much where your interest lies.If you want to do a tour of Turkey start from Istanbul, make your way south along the Aegean coast,to Fethiye, Oludeniz, and then along the Mediterranean coast towards Antalya, inland to the lake district Egirdir onto Cappadocia then Ankara and back via Konya and Pamukkale to Ephesus and Izmir. For first time visitor and travellers this will be enough.....Itinerary 1Istanbul and the Western Coast14 nights - Airports: Istanbul/Dalaman Spend the first few days in Istanbul in a quiet hotel in the heart of the old city from where you can explore Saint Sophia, the Topkapi Museum, Sultanahmet, the Kapali Carsi (grand bazaar), the underground cisterns and many more churches and museums on foot. On the fifth morning your car is delivered and you take the ferry across the Sea of Marmara to Bandirma and on to...

MIDYAT. CÝTY OF STONE.Each stone placed side by side was like a letter in mysterious stone writings.Stone upon stone rose into walls lining the narrow streets, but the walls still keep their secrets. Houses that are cool in summer and warm in winter, and courtyards on many levels are concealed behind them. None of their windows ever come face to face with those of neighbouring house. This architecture woven of stone belongs to a culture with very ancient roots. Here the soft, amenable Midyat stone has taken shape in the skilled hands of Syrian Christian craftsmen, as they built houses risisng up the gentle slopes. Both inside and out they are decorated with the distinctive stone carving of Midyat. On the architraves of doors and windows, beneath the eaves, on columns and arches, tulips, carnations and twining vines have enrichened the tranqui, unnassuming lives of their inhabitants.

go to the beaches... hot sand, great waters. Great place to hand out for the day and meet new people, plus you come out with a great tan!! It's an absolute culture shock. You learn so many new things... but I'll never get used to the bathrooms. The country has so much history and art, it's amazing.

One of the great things is that every evening when you go out for dinner you can sit outside. It's not cold, it is just a nice temperature, have dinner a bit late and sit there all evening. Very relaxing!

The city of Canakkale impressed me very much. It is not so much a holiday destination as it is a destination for Anzac members. On the Galipoli peninsula took place the Battle of Galipoli between turkish an allied (NewZealand, Australia) forces. When Anzac day comes, this beautiful city is full of tourists. You can visit the battlefield and one beautiful castle on one of Dardanel's bearing side. Also I was impressed by the people, walking on the city seaside, from 9pm to late night hours. Nice athmosphere, with lights, ferries going up and down, boats, ships, quietly running, inviting food and drinks.
