During our week's holiday we ate at several different restaurants. In a resort like this catering mostly for British tourists we found in all cases the food was Ok, not remarkable though.
Everywhere friendly with good service and though keen to entice you in to their restaurant no real excessive hassle, did notice a few places had been closed for a few days because of this problem.
We found that generally the places on the beach a little more expensive.
2 places near to our hotel that we enjoyed were "The Bistro" and "Golf Pub"

Up the hill, on the way to Didim and recommended to us by those "in the know". Ate there twice and very good both times, possibly the salad as a starter the best we had all week.
Friendly and comfortable and the prices are good, enjoyed our visits here.

Situated after the end of first beach going towards 2nd beach, good views over the sea. They will arrange to collect you from your hotel, flat etc. These guys have worked at Summer Garden and Victoria and move as a team. do not miss. I had my 50th birthday meal there in July and they did a great job. This is the best in Altinkum
Also there is the Everest across the road. Aydin who used to work at the Meryamana Hotel is there now.

On the road up to the Meryem Ana,the Ali Baba is on the right hand side, and all the staff are friendly and polite.
The meals are hot and freshly cooked and the price is also reasonable.
The peppered steak are well worth a try, but make sure you have some water or beer at hand if you do.(the pepper sauce is pretty hot).
Favorite Dish: As above

Nicks is a small, friendly restaurant, where casual is the word of the day.
Breakfast can be a full blown English, a bacon and egg butty,or a turkish kahvalta. The choice is yours, mix and match,(they don't mind).
During the day, call in for a snack (burgers, pizza, or just a coofee or cold drink)
At night the ambiance has changed from a cafe to a lovely clean restaurant, but the same air of casualness is still there.
I must mention the staff. They are the nicest bunch of lads you could ever wish to meet, and all deserve a personal mention.Nick (the owner),David, and Omar.
See you guys soon.
Favorite Dish: The egg and bacon butties are to die for after a night on the EFES.But don't worry there's not a bit of greaseon them.
At night go for any of the steak dishes. You can't go wrong.
Our friend asked for sea bass which was'nt on the menu. The following evening (with prior arrangement) they had got it for her.The result was delicious.

the victoria restaurant in altinkum is a good place to eat in the evenings you are treated like royalty and they also will pick you up from your hotel in a very posh car. if you visit during the day the waiters love to speak to you and they are very funny.the sun terrace is a beautiful place to just sit and relax when the sun is shinning. it isnt to expensive meals work out at about eight pounds for two courses and the service is free also your lift i loved it in there and out of 2 weeks probably ate there 5 times and had afternoon drinka there also
Favorite Dish: i enjoyed a meal from the turkish menu i dont know what it was called in turkish but it tells you the ingredients in english it was chicken in a chilli sauce with special veggies rice and jacket potato
