Local transport is by Dolmus, a minibus service. Destination on the front, stop it on the street as you would a taxi.
We took one to the Apollon Temple, crowded and hot but only 1.25 lira each for the journey, pay the driver.
While in Altinkum, you must go on the dolmus(shared taxi), even if you only ride it for the experience.
This is by far the best and cheapest way of getting around town and the surrounding villages.
The dolmus stops for you virtually anywhere,(just hold out your arm and it's there.
For something like 20 pence you can travel up to the temple of apollo,or the market on Saturdays,or a trip to Yesilkent, just down the coast.
WELL WORTH A TRY!
