Tasucu Turkey is the port for the ferry to Girne ( Kyrenia ) northern Cyprus.I took the passenger hydrofoil at 1200 , it is scheduled for just over 2 hours. It was a rough crossing, but the return crossing was like a flat pond. There is a vehicle ferry at midnight takes 7 hours. The ticket office is on the sea front road just 3 minutes walk from the ferry.
Travel by bus in Turkey is comfortable and reliable, the hard part is finding out where they go from and too. In the picture of Silifke bus station you can see a list of places. On board free drinks of water and coffee are served.
Fergün Express is the best Ferry service available from Tasucu. It has got its office on the main main road in Tasucu. It is known by everyone and serves as a milestone :-) for other things. The port is 2 mins by walk from the office of Fergün Express. I took a ferry to Northern Cyprus from here. It is better if u reserve a seat earlier and arrive earlier in the morning before your ferry because there is a long Que for boarding in the ferry and for the Visa/passport Check.
Another possible way to reach Tasucu is by Boat/Ferry from turkish republic of Northern Cyprus and from other turkish cities which are on the medditerrenean coast. Basically, only those people visit Tasucu who have a ferry to another city or Northern Cyprus.
There are several ways to reach Tasucu. The easiest is by bus from Silifke. Actually, Silifke is the main city and Tasucu serves as it's port Town. Silifke is connected with cities like Mersin & Adana. So, You can reach Silifke by bus and catch another bus to Tasucu. The bus service between Silifke and Tasucu runs till late. (most of the year)
