The restaurant is on the 5th floor, as the name suggests, and its main characteristic is the terrace from which you have an amazing view to the Asian part of Istanbul. However, also the food is very good.
They have international dishes with a personal touch, they have not only turkish dishes ...there are Italian and Mexican specialities too.
The waiters are kind and fast but a little bit too much serious...and I had the feeling that they change mood depending on how much (and how much expensive) you order.
Favorite Dish: Me and my husbands tried different meat dishes and appetizer, and we have particulary appreciated the "Appetizer Plate" (served for two) that consists in Fried halloumi cheese, quesadilla, falafel and crispy chicken fingers with very good sauces. The cost was 25.00 YTL (about 12,5€)
I also appreciated the "Cheese Plate" consisting in different kinds of cheese served with fresh and dried fruits and walnuts.
It cost about 24 YTL (about 12 €)
I didn't tried them, but I know that they serve also a rich brunch!

We went there for afternoon drinks - had tea and lemonade.
The home made lemonade was very refreshing and different. The view is breathtaking.
The brownie was delicious too.
Favorite Dish: Our host paid for the drinks. around 5 YTL per person.

On the fifth floor under huge glass with a view on the Bosporus.
Lots of waiters serving local food.
Not specially this restaurant but turkish cuisine is the worst I know.
Tasteless,sour sauce on dishes,lack of using tastefull ingredients .
I know many cuisines but this is the worst I have encountered.
Favorite Dish: The Adana kebab is a little spicier so a least it has some taste

Spreading its wings all the way from the modern Bosphorus Bridge to historic Sultanahmet,the sweeping view from the fifth Floor's terrace is one of the most breathtaking in the city.

When I was working near Taksim, in Cihangir, I was used to go to Besinci Kat. It is the fifth floor of a renovated building near Alman Hastanesi (German Hospital) in Siraselviler Caddesi. The restaurant has a terrace where you can enjoy the Bosphorous view during summer. The restaurant turns into a bar by late night. It is managed by an actress (Yasemin Alkaya) and you can feel her artistic taste at every detail of this place.
No matter what you wear. Gays are welcomed at this place. Warning: They don't accept credit cards. Go with cash in your pocket.
Favorite Dish: My favorite starter is stuffed mushroom with ham and cheese and my favorite dish is homemade ravioli. Their salads are delicious as well.

This place is hella expensive, by Istanbul standards, but they have good food, great service, and a view that will leave you breathless. Perched on top of an apartment building, it's one of Istanbul's many hidden jewels. If you're there in the summer, book a table and soak in the city from this incredible perch!
If you can't afford dinner, at least go for drinks. The view is worth it!!
