THE CHORA CHURCH: Was built in the IV century outside of Istanbul wall by the orders of Atik Ali Pacha and the towers were added when the church turned into a mosque.
Inside you can see the mosaics from the bizantine times related to biblical scenes.

There’s a small church that conserve a big treasure, old mosaics with catholic references. A real treasure.
Built in Byzantine period. Inside it is like Agia Sofia church i.e. the unique marble technique and the mosaics. Fortunatelly in this case the covered by plaster mosaics where mostly uncovered.

The Mosaic Museum is a lovely place to visit. It's an excavated palace with beautifully restored, enormous mosaics that are incredibly detailed. Here's a photo of a small piece of one.
