Dances of Colours: Whirling Dervishes Istanbul & Turkish Folk Dances

We wanted to see a folk dance and our hotel recommended a program put on by a local student dance troop. I don't remember the exact cost of admission, but it was very reasonable. They presented dances from all over the region including a Whirling Dervishes Ceremony. Great experience.Name of the organisation is "Dances of Colours" and it also offers Sufi Music Concert & Whirling Dervishes Ceremony and also lots of different type of Turkish Folk Dance in a modern theatre.It was just perfect to see both Dervish Dance and Turkish Folk Dances in one show.

Reina: Nightlife of Bosphorus - Reina

Dont forget tihs place is open in summer period and at night.Great view makes you enjoy by itself and you have relaxable tables or soft pillows to sit whatever you wish.Dance with the great top musics from all around the world. Reina is one of the most societic clubs in istanbul.You can see famous faces in this club such as football player singers or etc.So you should dress well.Quality is important.You dont have to wear a jacket.It is possible you should wear jeans but quality.Otherwise you can turn back from door.

Istanbul 360: Exotic view

It is on the top of an very old building, they have renovated resently.Enjoy chill out and jazzy house music overlooking a 360 degree view of Istanbul.The menu has eastern and western food. They serve a wide varety of drinks including beetroot vodka.Open: 13.00-15.00, 19.30-03.00 (Except Mondays) I drank pommegranate vodka, it was not very strong but nice.

Riddim: Crazy Taksim nights

If you love hop-hop, being with other foreigners, having a great DJ, and the ability to dance all night long, then you need to go to Riddim! I make it my weekly pilgrimage every Friday night to go there. It has the best hip-hop music in Istanbul and is up to date with all of the new songs from America. It is filled with foreign professional basketball players and lots of beautiful people! Believe me, there is no dress code! Girls come in with skirts up to their butts or even sports bras and baggy pants sometimes. It is very urban.

Istiklal Caddessi: Chillout places!

Most chillout places in Istanbul can be found in the many sokaks of Istiklal Caddessi, and these streets can be very lively at night. Though Levent is also a good choice, it's more on upscale(?) (or in my own term... "Synthetic"). I prefer the Istiklala Cad. and the area around Taksim. or the whole Beyoglu for that matter. Anything you like as long as you're clothed.

The bronx bar: taxim's bars

It's one of the bars who has local bands live performances in it! live performances start usually at 22:00 (friday-saturday) bands usually cover the popular alternative and rock songs of the popular bands. It's open till 04:00. There is an enterance fee like 5-10 $ prices are ok! ;) u can dress whatever u like! There are generally alternative rock fans in it!
