CEMO turned out my best Pendik restaurant discovery.
The man who founded the restaurant started as a street food vendor in the same area.
I was lucky enough to meet him and as we hade the same age the evening became a long cosy one. Communication was very basic as it was Turkish from one side and English from my side. Still with the help of some local visitors we exchanged email addresses and took personal photo's.
The food was great and we got a free special Turkish coffee in the end.
Bursa is a real Turkish restaurant, where you can make a selection of cold and warm starters at your table.
The meat is grilled at the inhouse grill, visible to the customers.
In the front at the seaside is an indoors bar and outside a large terrace.
Despite of its name the place serves more than just pizza's.
The restaurant is one of the bigger ones in the area with an additional seaside terrace.
Favorite Dish: It was a Turkish heated at the spot meat dish (see the picture).
MADO is a nice place for a relaxed cup of coffee or tea or even an ice cream.
The terrace offers a nice view to the seas side.
Service is first class.
Favorite Dish: Tea and baklava.
Icarma is one of the bigger restaurants at the busy seaside walkway.
It's a middle class restaurant.
Favorite Dish: Döner.
Özbeyti is a small restauarant where food is served fast.
The restaurant has döner, iskender, dürüm and kebap menu's.
No fancy seats here; just functional furniture.
Great food though!
