Alacati Transportation

A hire car is a must if you're planning on seeing the area although there are some local dolmus.The airport in Izmir is 85km away down a brand new motorway which was almost empty,unbelieveable! Plenty of coaches go to Cesme from the airport.Below is the local bus company Cesme Seyahat no. although another 6 go there.Regular buses from Izmir to Cesme stop in town.

	RENT A CAR

If you are planning to fly to Izmir and then pass to Alacati It is very convenient to rent a car from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. The Prices for an economy class is around 50 Euros per day. You can find Decar, Avis, Alamo within the airport. I f you are coming by bus to İzmir you can rent cars from Alsancak (there are several places you can find in front of Alsancak Closed Sports Stadium. The prices in alsancak are little bit economic but try to negotiate for the insurance and any other contract details.(If they are included and make a clear contract). We have rented one from a place called "IKIAA"on alsancak it was without any problem for us. You can prefer if you like. Though I dont have any info about the rest of the renting places. The price for the off-season for a fiat palio was 30 euros.

	Rent a car and motorbike or even boat in Cesme

If you somehow end up in Cesme (where there are busses from Izmir to Cesme each half an hour) you can or lets say you should rent a car or a motorbike to move around. There are also some mini busses serving between ilica cesme and alacati but these would not really help you discover the beauties around.The place I rent the motorbike called éblue Rent A Car" Mr. İsmet has a full time shop in the dowtown of Cesme (which is around 10 km to Alacati). The Rent a Car shop is very helpfull and welcoming we did not have any trust problems. But do not forget you need to present your Motorbike driving license to rent a motorbike. If you are lucky enough they can provide you a well fitted helmet otherwise you get a helmet anyway but usually does not fit. Motorbike is a nice choice if you want to get around and stop and dive in to the sea and to discover around.

New Alacati bus terminal.

Moved this year to the edge of town but still only a ten minute walk at most into the centre.
Dolmuses also start from here but you can get them to Ilica and Cesme from outside the municipality building, up past the windmills, cross the road and slightly to the left.
Cost to Cesme this year 2007 is 2.25 Ytl.
