What to buy: Bergama is also famous of its carpets.
The format of Bergama carpets is usually more nearly square than in other Turkish types, and the prayer rugs are unusually small.
Using different types of patterns, with central diamond designs, the colors dominating the carpets are red, blue, and white.
Shops selling the famous carpets can be found all over the town. It is actually very simple to recognize it as different models of carpets are hanged outside the shops.
The prices are according to the quality of the carpet and all of them are hand made.
