This restaurant belongs to Sevilen Wines Company. A beatutiful garden with horses and some other animals, green and peaceful. Just outside of Izmir, very close to the international airport. Delicious food and wines, for tasting Turkish wines where also ou can buy them from the merch.
Favorite Dish: All meat dishes
This is one of the best burgers I have ever had. They have gigantic homemade burgers with recipes around the world. They don't have much options, I think there is only 4-5 burgers, but who needs choice when every single one of the burgers are heavenly. The bread is also homemade and very fresh. Recommended for burger lovers everywhere.
Favorite Dish: Indie. It has a creamy rich curry sauce, with crisp tomatoes and fresh homemade bread. I don't know what I could ask for more, but they come with fries and onion rings homemade salsa & coleslaw, and pickles. And drink! These guys know what they are doing, I am seriously hooked. My husband however , loves Mexican which has custom grown chili.
This was a place where my bestfriends in Izmir took me and my husband before we departed for our honeymoon in 2005. It's special itself cuz it was the very first gettogether with friends as a married couple:)
Patlican Cafe is in Inciralti district. Patlican is the Turkish word for aubergine actually and the cafe is given this name cuz of the aubergine greenhouses around. It may be a bit hard to find its location (the address is provided below anyway) as it's in the middle of some fields, but, it's a perfect place for a super Turkish Sunday breakfast.
It's also a nice place for families with kids as there are many things the kids can do to have fun.
Favorite Dish: A complete Turkish breakfast: They bring tomatoes with olive oil, cheese with eggs, fresh orange juice and all sorts of gozleme (Check the pic for gozleme)
It's a speacial restaurant for me cuz when I was at primary school, my mum used to take me there for a special mum-daughter lunch at the end of every school semester. We always ate (and still eat when I am in town) doner kebap or iskender kebap there so I don't know the tastes of other dishes. The other meat dishes are known to be good though.
Favorite Dish: Doner kebap or iskender kebap
They have great seafood as well as classical Ottoman food and specialities from international cuisines. They have live music almost every night. The view of the city is so great that you can only have a cup of coffee and feel full.
Belkahve is now a café, located approximately where this historic scene took place. In our crusade of the best eating places in Izmir and whereabouts, we found no better entry point than this.

dried beans with ground meat(kuru fasulye) and pilafs(pilav) are great..They always cook the dishes in special pot(GUVEC-casserole)) and always in a special owen..

it is kinda Italian restaurant..I've been there for just a lunch.The food was lovely with lots of flavour and the atmosphere good.
The portions are absolutely huge and extremely good value of money..

There were many small restaurants serving kebab around Konak square, in Alsancak etc MANISAJI was one of them I visited. It has a big variety of kebab plates, good yogurts and some not so nice salads. I also drunk Ayran a strange drink made out of salted yogurt, diluted with water! I don’t think I payed more than 6 euros that night. . Yes, food is cheap in Izmir.
