The key thing to do in Karabuk province is clearly visit the wonderful, charming, historic city of Safrnabolu and its environs. This offers immense charm and great touristic facilities in an atmosphere that is not overly touristy (yet).
There is no location on virtualtourist for the city of Karabuk, so I shall just add some tips on it here. This is the provincial capital and has over 100,000 people. It is a pretty good town, reasonably properous and pleasant enough if rather uninteresting for the most part. Its business is dominated by the huge Kardemir steel mill outside of toiwn and it has a brand-new university. There is shopping, eating, and plenty of other services, though little of real interest aside from visiting a normal, everyday working town.
