I loved that place a lot. The only thing I missed there was a glass of good wine. They never serve any alcohol in cafes.
Doesn’t matter, we were at a tango night and they also played salsa, wonderful night.
It’s a fast food restaurant on the main street. They always have at least 8-10 ready meals and you can pick whatever you want. But if you don’t like spice be very careful and look for a dish without peppers. They always put spice peppers. And better go and eat upstairs, there is an air conditioner and a view to the mosque.
Nicely decorated cute place. But the main attraction is the service. No one can find any service like this one around here. I am sure the owner lived outside of Turkey for some time.
Favorite Dish: Anything goes. They are good.
As far as I know there are many side-by-side restaurants around the man-made lake of Kocaeli Fair.
There is a new restaurant called Antikkapi, decorated with ancient Ottomam-era home doors and gates at its inner walls.
And it is worht to mention the restorated and later opened to public service as a cafe and restaurant, the Pembe Kösk (Pink Kiosk).
And let us not skip the Kentsa Restaurant and Social Facilities. Before quake it was a splendid place for spendimng weekends for my family.
Inegöl Restaurant is also another older restaurant serving Imiters for years.
The prices are so just and equal, tips! hmm the waiters never get angry if you omit to give away your tips but they will serve well never thinking getting any tips after it is done.
Favorite Dish: You may try every kind of Turksih dishes including kebaps and fresh and dried cereals and as as a closer never skip making yummy the desserts. Ans please beware not eating your tips of fingers.
And Izmit is so famous with its own well-known kind of two specialities; SIMIT which is sold at every corner of the streets and PISMANIYE. Pismaniye nowadyas has converted itself into multy-kind of dessert. It is made only within Izmit and made from only dough, water and suger and the rest is just coming from the dextreous fingers of its masters.
This café is one of the most popular and expansive café-restaurants in Izmit. We had an ice coffee outside in the garden and were waited by very polite servers.
Is nothing special but a great young staff is working there. They serve nargille . It’s in a park and you can feel cool with a glass of lemonade.
Favorite Dish: Turkish coffee
They serve very delicious pide(bread with cheese, tomatoes and meat – kind of pizza) and also kebab. It is not exactly in the city but it worth going there.
